You can program key macros in a programmable keyboard such as an Nostromo. Many of the in game functions can be assigned a hotkey. Check out the UI to see if there is a function that you need. As far as the target call I'm not sure since I just use the old ctrl-spacebar and shift-ctrl-spacebar.

To answer the OP: No, currently GW client does not allow this. You also cannot change the functionality of ctrl, alt or shift keys. You also cannot bind actions to mouse clicks. Apparently, behavior of these have been hard-coded and are not customizable. I would jump with joy, if a future update changed this.
The hardware or third-party software macro solutions presented by Nivryx and Fyre Brand sound like viable alternatives, however. Give it a try. |

but i was thinking using third party macro applications was along the same lines as bots/trainers, therefore against Anets EULA. i could easily code my own little application just to capture kepresses of V n send Shift+Ctrl+Space to the GW client, but illegal no?

This has been brought up before and if search is working look for 'macros' and such. Basically a Nostromo is a piece of hardware with programmable keys. This is way different than a third party program that performs scripted actions. Although if you use your programmable keyboard to perform scripted actions then I suppose you could get banned. I know before I cancelled my Lineage account someone had been banned for using an N52 to spam sales junk in the chat channel. So I believe it can also depend on how you use it.
As a thumbrule -- Programming a keyboard/gamepad to perform a short series of keystrokes when you are present and actually press the key yourself is okay. Programming a keyboard/gamepad to perform actions that require no user action or user presence to perform actions when you are away is not okay. If you're really curious on what the boundries are, go to PlayNC to the support section and search there. If you don't find an answer open a support ticket with very specific information about your question. |
